December 21 marks the end of the world and coincidentally enough the last show for 323East before they move on up to Eastern Market. I'll have a piece in this final group show. Come on out and see some great art while you die!
Detroit Urban Craft Fair here I come! See you there on 12/01-12/02.
Detroit Fanfare will be my stomping grounds Oct. 26th, 27th and 28th.
I'll be at San Diego Comicon! Getting lost and making friends. See you there!
New stuff in my Etsy store!
I just put up a set of iPhone and iPad cases at my ArtsProjekt store. They're the freshest and just the thing to keep you motivated and inspired. I've also got a new shirt for sale at my Etsy store. Do it for Christmas.
I have some pieces in the DAM Small(er) Show. It will be up until August 30th. Swing by and pick up something from me or any of the other great artists that are there. The work is small and inexpensive. Perfect for these financially tough times!
My Miss Vengeance illustration (scroll down to see it) is in the new Beautiful Decay book Future Perfect. Pick it up and check me out.
I just launched my new project Places We Should Go. You can see it on my Etsy store here. There are t-shirts, pillowcases, coasters and cigar boxes all created just for you!
I have a show coming up on June 4th comprised of my stationery designs. I will also be mixing in other various sized prints and some paintings too. It opens Saturday June 4th at the Rust Belt Market from 11am - 7pm.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Rust Belt Market grand opening this past weekend. It was a great time and thanks to those who made a purchase from my new Project "Places We Should Go". Head over to my Facebook fan page to see more. I will be launching the project here and on my Etsy shop on Monday, May 23rd.
I received a nice little shout out for some of my logo design work over at Ferndale 115. Recently I designed the logo for the Rust Belt Market that is opening May 7 in Ferndale MI. I wanted to thank Tiffany and Chris Best for being so awesome and supportive and constantly giving me shout outs. They were a joy to work with.
Speaking of the Rustbelt Marktet I will have a spot there selling items with some of my design inspired work. I'll update my page with previews and sneak peeks soon.
A few new pieces added to the site. I'll slowly be adding more stuff soon. Emphasis on the word slowly.
Mark Sarmel is the alter ego of Mark Moreno, designer by day, illustrator by night and sometimes vice versa. In general I just try to make as much cool stuff as possible.
In art as well as in life the following things are important to me: honesty, passion and a sense of humor. I can often be found daydreaming. I am most comfortable with good friends, good drinks and good food. I stay up late.
My work has appeared in Beautiful/Decay, Empty, Semi-Permanent, Faestehetic, and DPI Taiwan. I have shown in galleries such as Red Bull House of Art, Society of Illustrators, 323East, and numerous others. I'm open for commisions too!
